Fletcher's paintings use the grid as both structure and point of departure. Within that fixed framework shifting color relationships create tension, movement, and optical resonance. Each painting explores how neighboring colors alter one another and how repetition can produce unexpected visual experiences. Colors for each tiny mosaic shape are mixed separately assuring maximum variation in subtleties.
